I have been sitting here at my computer for the best part of the day trying to force myself to write something. It’s not that I can not think of anything to write, I have lots of ideas for future posts, the problem is actually physically writing the post.
I suffer with this on a regular basis. You can just cast a quick eye over my archives and see that it is not unusual for me to go days and even weeks without posting any new content. That is because I lose my motivation to write anything and it is not just this blog but my other blogs as well as my freelancing work.
It is incredibly frustrating because, to put it bluntly, if I do not write then I do not earn any money. So it is very important for me to try and regain my motivation as soon as I can.
I know I am not the only person that this happens to, I believe it doesn’t matter if you write about football, music, technology or something obscure like obligato violin strings, so I thought I would throw out an invitation to you all to let us all know what methods you use to help keep you motivated or regain it when you lose it. 🙂
