Plugins That Could Help Improve Your Blog

Plugins are seen as an essential part of blogging these days, whatever you wish to achieve on your blog you can bet your bottom dollar that there is a plugin on the internet that can help you do it.

Whether you want a plugin that can display banner adverts, a plugin that can run polls or even a plugin that can add a message board to your blog, it can be done with a WordPress plugin.

I currently run three blog with WordPress and I use the same 24 plugins on all of them. In fact adding these 24 plugins is the first thing that I do when I’ve installed WordPress, even before making a post or installing a theme.

So I thought I would list the 24 plugins that I use in the hope that you might find some gems to help improve your own blog.

Adman

Adman is my personal plugin of choice when it comes to displaying adverts in content on my blogs. You can ad any kind of advert from Adsense right down to your own custom advert.

Akismet

This comes bundled with WordPress but a lot of people ignore it. This is possibly the best plugin for eliminating Spam that I have ever come across. It has stopped over 500,000 Spam comments on one of my blogs alone.

All in One SEO Pack

To get your blog high in the search rankings requires good SEO, sadly WordPress on its own is not very effective at this, but the All in One SEO Pack plugin can help by tweaking it and helping you obtain better rankings. Most bloggers who use it swear by it!

Google XML Sitemaps

The Google XML Sitemaps plugin is another way of helping you get ranked in not only Google but ask.com, msn.com and other smaller search engines. this plugin creates a sitemap.

Popularity Contest
