      I think it depends on what your site is about, for example if it is about professional wrestling then you will earn more from ads than affiliate marketing. 🙂

    A good balance of the three is what works best in my opinion, but don’t over do it because Google will penalize you and so will your visitors.

      Oh I learnt that the hard way when I overdid the sponsored posts and Google knocked me from a PR4 to a PR0 in one harsh sweep about four years ago, took me years to get off PR0 again. 🙂
