4 Ways To Thank Your Readers

Where would we all be if we did not have any readers for out blogs? We would all be weird people sitting at our computers, writing content for blogs that makes us no money at all and that nobody sees apart from ourselves.

So it is very important to thank your readers. Here are four ways that I thank my readers.

1. Continue To Produce Great Content

Your readers are reading your blog because they love your content so the best way to say thank you to them is to continue to write top notch informative articles for them to read.

2. Take The Time To Reply To Their Comment

This is something that I say to people many times a day. If a reader has taken the time to leave a comment on your blog then the very least you can do is take the same amount of time to reply to them. Not only is it a nice thank you from you but it also shows you are not the kind of blogger who ignores his readers.

3. Visit Their Blog And Leave A Comment

A nice way to say thank you is to visit a reader’s blog and leave a comment on one of their posts. I think it is a thoughtful thing to do and will give you the opportunity to see what sites you are giving backlinks to. After all you don’t want to be giving away links to weird spam sites about steel buildings.

4. Run A Contest

Another great way to thank your readers is to hold some contests giving away cool prizes. It is a way of giving something back to them.

  • Oh, I try to compete by delivering quality content every time with every post 🙂

    • And so we all should. But a lot of bloggers (and I find myself slipping into this category at times if I’m being honest) do sit back and let their standards drop.

Thanks for dropping by, really enjoyed reading your blog. 🙂

      • Thanks Dean!

I find it difficult to maintain the standards if I don’t receive enough feedback or visits to my blog. I think it should be like a reward for the work

        • I suffer from finding the motivation to write posts and when I do write I feel I have to churn out the content quickly to make up for it and that is when my standards start to fall.

Something else to work on in 2011. 🙂

  • Well, that contest idea came out of the blue. lol I ran one contest and it was the worst experience of my blogging life. It was so bad I ended it 10 days early. I’m not really sure contests generate the kind of life they used to because people are expecting better prizes for their time. I thought I’d put together a great package of prizes, but nope, they weren’t playing.

I like the other three ideas a lot, though.

    • Thanks for dropping in Mitch (again 🙂 ), always nice to get some feedback from you.

I have yet to put together contest myself, was hoping to run one of two during 2011, but it looks like I will have bit of a rethink about this.

  • Very good collections listed out here, i love the 2nd and 4th actually. good job.. go ahead promoted the post.. Thanks

  • I strongly agree with you, Dean. All the ways are the best way to thanks for our readers. Thanks for your sharing, mate. Merry X-mas and Happy New Year.
